Wood is good

Known as “The Ancestor” after John Dewar, our founder, this impeccable blend is the result of a time honored process. After we blend the whiskies, we marry the blend in vintage oak casks and let it harmonize to perfection. It’s what our family did then. It’s what we do now.
We only use Scotland’s finest 18-year old malt and grain whiskies to create this full, smooth and creamy blend. We then return the blend to oak casks and age it to perfection. The result, a richer whisky with a long, lingering finish.
We blend Dewar’s Signature using the rarest of rare whiskies from across Scotland. We then return the blend to vintage oak casks, allowing these exclusive malts to age and harmonize to perfection. We do this because marrying in oak is the secret to exceptional smoothness. When you do what you believe, it just tastes better.
We blend up to 40 of Scotland’s finest single malt and grain whiskies to create Dewar’s White Label. Each is hand picked to create this full, round whisky. Our first master blender started this process one hundred years ago. It’s how we made it then. It’s how me make it now.
Known as "The Monarch". This rare and special whiskey is named after the famous painting, "The Monarch of the Glen".
In 1851, Sir Edwin Landseer created the famous painting, an instant masterpiece, that depicts a stag in the Scottish Highlands.
John Dewar and Sons purchased the painting in 1919 and hung it proudly.
Master blender Stephanie Macleod used the painting as inspiration for this rare and special whiskey.
It takes an original to craft an original. We start with iconic Dewar’s White Label Blended Scotch Whisky and infuse it with Scottish honey, harvested from bees near the Aberfeldy distillery, and other natural flavors. The result? Pure harmony.
We begin with a blend of 40 carefully selected single malt and grain whiskies. The blend is then returned to extra charred and scratched American Oak casks to mellow the liquid and release notes of vanilla and oak. The result? Our most unique experience yet, DEWAR’S Scratched Cask.
